Our cat suffered a ruptured abcess on his hind end and our regular vet was closed due to snow. LFA had previously done a PU surgery on him, and I trusted them, so I called to see if we could bring him in. They were very helpful on the phone, calmed my mild panic that the wound could be related to the previous surgery, and made us a same day appointment. When we arrived everyone was kind, we were immediately put in a room, and the vet tech came and assessed his wound within a couple minutes. Dr. Strome came in and talked us through our treatment options, and once we decided she took him back to clean and medicate the wound. Every visit is friendly and supportive- stopping in to pick up food, major surgery (liver lobectomy, nephrectomy- kidney removal, eye surgery), and hospitalization (urinary obstruction, foreign body, intestinal blockage, kidney infection, eye injuries, cholangiohepatitis, etc). Love the staff and Dr. Liberto! Dr. Lamar is great too! Have never had an issue getting an appointment, especially on an emergency basis. You can tell they love every pet that comes through their door. My pet is greeted and played with even before I am addressed. They always remember names and are very professional and attentive to you and your pet’s needs. Highly recommend!

My dog recently injured her leg and everyone at Lake Forest Animal Hospital was so friendly, helping me to get her taken care of so she can walk again. She's a senior dog with Cushing's and they have been wonderful in helping us keep her regulated. Lake Forest was not the first vet we tried when we moved here, but they will be the last because there is no need to look elsewhere.
