Dr. J Max just gained a new patient after being turned away from the vet we had been using for almost 3 years. Staff were sweet as sugar and Dr. J Max is precious. Our Lilly loved them as well. I was panicked because her normal Vet would not even let me stop by and have her checked. I called Dr. J Max office at 10:30 and they said to have her there by 11:00. Great care and was so blessed by Dr. J Max and his uplifting spirit he has! 10/10 would recommend! ♥️Tina and Lilly

Unless your dog is under 50 lbs they won’t even look at them I called to have my Neapolitan mastiffs nails trimmed told them he had to be sedated them. Muzzling him was not an option. He is not mean nor aggressive nor Has he ever been? They assured me that they had worked on big dogs they have sedated dogs to cut nails was not a problem when I showed up with my 170 pound dog they acted like they just seen the largest dog in the world they said they had to do a check up on him because it was the first visit there. They said it would be $220 to do the check up into sedate them and cut his nails very expensive seems as though I get it done for $55 but I agreed it was close when the doctor came to discuss with me about it. Dr. Maxwell is a kind, conscience, and a very knowledgeable Veterinarian at the Lafollette Veterinarian Clinic. Whenever I take any of my animals to this clinic, I will always ensure that it is Dr. Maxwell who treats them.

Be aware....if your pet needs a prescription, if you do not get your prescription from them, you will be charged a $35 fee every 6 months to be able to have the prescription filled elsewhere. Thankfully, I have found a vet in Anderson County that is more ethical.
