Kondo Kennel

I had a rocky start moving to Columbia and trying to find a new boarding facility for my two pups. I first tried to board through our vet which was a disaster due to my elder dog’s severe vet anxiety. I don’t think he was able to separate the two environments there. A week before I needed to board, my vet decided they could not accommodate my dog due to his fearfulness. So I scrambled. I called Kondo Kennel & they immediately took my reservation and allowed me to drop my dog off for a few days of daycare beforehand to help warm him up. All went well with him. Kondo Kennel has been a blessing to our family over the past three years. Our pup loves his stays, regularly straining on his leash to enter upon arrival, and always happy and healthy (albeit exhausted!) when we pick him up. The owners are very responsive and friendly. We are grateful for Kondo Kennel.

We gave this place several chances. Each time we picked up our goldendoodle after her stay here, they brought her to me with crust and puss in her eyes (obvious eye infections that I had to treat with antibiotic drops) and she was filthy and smelled sour and moldy. Each time, it took several baths to get the strong smell off her. Several days after she last visited, we found several skin issues (crusty scabs all on her belly and chest) and skin infections she had never had before until this kennel. I took her to her vet and she had to be put on oral and topical medication, and it took a long time to get her skin issues under control.
