Kensington Bird and Animal Hospital is the beat exotic vet in the State of CT. I own A Shedding Chance Reptile Rescue Inc. where Dr. Bloom (Mrs) always gives our rescues the best care they deserve. Reptiles are difficult to find qualified vets for, however, Dr. Bloom made the whole process easy. And not even that, When Dr. Bloom is off, Dr. Sinclair steps in and does just as amazing work. Dr. Sinclair has seen my personal pet rats and spoils them at every appointment. The office staff is friendly, hardworking, and cares deeply about their patients. There care is the best in the state of CT, especially for Birds, Small Mammals, and Reptiles (and only because I have those animals, but I’m more than positive their cats and dog care is held to the same standard). KBAH has always been nothing but wonderful to my 3 pets over the last 5 years I’ve been using them as our family vet. Most recently I’ve been dealing with my blue heeler’s broken foot and he has been a nightmare of a patient at home. I’ve never had a problem getting in touch with the staff at KBAH and they’ve been extremely helpful to us. They are also very prompt with appointments, very thorough with their exams, and overall just so easy to deal with, whether we’re with Dr. Ellis, either of the Dr. Blooms, Dr. Sinclair or any of the techs.

Thank you all for consistent quality vet care. These guys care so deeply about what they do and treat your animals with the utmost respect and kindness. My orange cat actually purrs his whole appointment because he feels so comfortable, and he hates leaving the house. I’ve had to bring him twice in the last few weeks and KBAH has been so helpful. They even scheduled an appointment for me for the following day minutes before closing. It was kind of them to stay after hours to confirm my appointment and make sure my cat got the medicine he needed. :) I also brought my little cat to get spayed here this year and they took excellent of her, she is a spicy little lady and they handled her with such care. This was the first visit I had at KBAH with my guinea pig and the staff was incredible. Very knowledgeable, kind, and gentle with my baby piggie. They gave me a little goodie bag with some treats and a lot of info printed out as a resource to look back on, and I’m so pleased with Dr. Ellis! Couldn’t recommend them enough :)
