Dr.Obara and his team took very good care of my Kiarah till she recently passed , very compassionate and very caring and now they are taking care of my newest fur baby Pono . Everyone there is amazing and so kind .

As usual, Dr Obara and staff took excellent care of my baby. I miss the pre-COVID-19 days when we could sit in the waiting room and see all the cuties on their leashes & carriers. I highly recommend Kalihi Pet Clinic. Parking is still rough when everyone is dropping off at the same time but the wait is minimal.

update: I just received test results for FIV/FeLV less than an hour after we walked out of the clinic. I'm truly amazed at how quickly we got results back. This clinic is incredible. I had such a great experience here with my kitty. I brought her in for hair loss & all of my concerns and questions were addressed. It's my first time going to a vet clinic that actually felt compassionate. There was no overselling that happened here. I was so impressed by the quality of care for my pet and for me as a pet owner. The vet tech gave me prices for all the labs they thought the doctor would order ahead of time. Ultimately we didn't order those labs, so the price ended up being a lot better than I expected. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience here. We had a very sick kitten, and getting her in to see the vet took weeks. In the meantime we had to take her to emergency care which cost a lot of money. When we finally got to our initial appointment, the vet brushed off her clearly horrible state. Because of Covid we had to wait in the car, and it was not explained to us what they did inside or tested her for. The only thing the vet recommended was to try different types of food since she wasn't gaining weight, but we had already tried about 20 and we were desperate for other solutions. They didn't address her running nose or congestion or lethargy at all. I wish they had been clearer on what outcomes we could expect, as just a few days later our kitten passed away. The veterinarian is wonderful. He really loves and cares for your fur baby. I could not ask for a more wonderful veterinarian. He explains everything he is doing and why. He tells you your options. He is willing to teach you what you need to know. Please do not hesitate to go here. Their prices are fair. Feel free to use me as a reference. I could not ask for a more loving veterinarian!
