Just Food For Dogs

I have dreamed of this place existing for so long. Organic and raw foods for dogs. Healthier than most of the garbage that humans eat. I was just so excited when I walked in the door. The whole kitchen was moving all the products were branded. Everything was freshly made. This is what the upper west side is all about.

The product is very good - I went in for chicken treats because my dog loves them. However, when paying for a bag of treats that costs 65 dollars, I expect much better service than I received. I’ve lived in New York for many years and understand the NYC personality; but this was one of the most disappointing and hostile experiences I have had with a store employee. She acknowledged my dog more than she did me (which was not at all). I felt I was bothering her and she didn’t even direct me to where the cash was - I had never been to the store before. Additionally, I had to repeat my phone number three times to create an account with the store and had to confirm with her she had the correct number otherwise my information would have been incorrectly recorded. I recently adopted a rescue dog, and on the way home this past Saturday, I came across this treasure. I chose to give this a try because my little guy is quite particular. The staff consistently inquired about my dog's allergies and the kind of kibble they currently consume, and they were generally amiable and understanding. which I adored since it demonstrates their genuine concern for your dog. I received many samples of the goodies from Amy, along with a sample of the recipe for beef and russet potatoes, which my dog Aspen adored.

I’m a regular customer at this store and the food is great, employees are MOSTLY nice but the biggest issue is the chihuahua lady. Every time I enter the store and she’s there her dogs are NEVER leashed, they urinate and poop on the store floor-GROSS and yes I understand accidents happen but I have witnessed this woman do it multiple times and the employees are just too worried about a bad review to tell her to leave. she takes up almost all the space, she talks for like hours a o the employees and other customers can’t even get their needs met. it’s a shame. i refuse to ship from lincoln center anymore because of that lady. she makes me extremely uncomfortable and my dog as well.

Just sayin’…!!! Sienna greeted me in the store as I was looking for a dog treat!! She asked me if my dog liked dry or chewy treats…I had to say I really didn’t know because I was sitting for a doggy!!….. she kindly ask me to fill a sample bag of treats …and I politely took 2 of each….beef strips and chicken strips…dry and chewy!!! Sienna is a very thoughtful and kind person. I would be thrilled to have her on my team if I owned a business!! Great Customer service. I know customer service..been in it my whole life!! Turns out the dry and chewy was a hit…”Tekka” is hooked on the stuff…now I have to New York Hustle my way back tomorrow and get her some packs of treats!!!! :) :) <3 Tekka wondering why I’m not offering more yummy beef/chicken samples!!!
