Doctor New and his crew have looked after our cats and dogs for 30 years or more. We appreciate that they always try to do their best for a sick animal, even when the appointment calendar is booked. Doctor New is a good surgeon who researches and consults with colleagues around the country when a tricky problem presents. Very simply, when it comes to what is best for our pet we confidently put our trust in this man.

We had the most positive experience with Juneau Veterinary Hospital that one could have when your fur baby needs surgery. Lulu, the receptionist, was amazing and the price was unbeatable. We got a quote from one of the other vet that came in at 1200 to 2000 dollars and JVH came in at just under 500 dollars. The after care was amazing ( had to call 3 times) and they were so patient. They were the only one who would pick up our dog, which they charged for but the price of the surgery was so cheap we did not even care. Thank you for your service. I will be telling everyone in Haines about you.

Sharing my story so that you don’t have to go through it too. A few weeks ago I lost my 2-year-old male cat, Juniper, to a urinary obstruction that was misdiagnosed as a simple UTI. While it’s impossible to say if proper diagnosis and treatment would have saved him, it could have spared him from a slow and painful death. Monday 12/16: Juniper is showing signs of discomfort, peeing outside of his litter box. Tuesday 12/17: Juneau Vet recommended I pick up plastic litter and a syringe to collect a urine sample at home. Their analysis indicated an infection and high protein levels, so they recommended an antibiotic shot and bloodwork to test for kidney disease. Wednesday 12/18: Juniper was put under anesthesia to receive the antibiotic shot and blood draw at Juneau Vet. I was told that an

My dog passed away while in the care of Juneau vet Hospital. Taking Dax here will forever be the greatest regret of my life. I feel that they didn’t even take the time to get to know my dog. I was never asked questions about what medication he was on. I was never asked if he had eaten before his visit. When I went in to drop him off, they weren’t even sure which leg it was- they had asked me just an hour before his surgery which leg needed an operation. They did not want to see/talk to me before his surgery. It was all so rushed. Could it have made a difference in the outcome of this “routine” surgery? Maybe not, but I’d like to think it could have. Even after Dax passed, the report that was sent to the cremation service was incorrect. He was written down as being “grey”. Dax does not have

I brought my Beautiful Pit bull Brindie, who was so CLOSE TO DEATH and NO ONE ELSE would see her! She had lost more than 50% of her body weight. She looked all bones with her skin stretched over them! Brindie could not walk and BARLY could breathe, and I JUST KNEW she was dying in my arms! And then, like angels 😇 from above they ALL SWOOPED in and SAVED MY BABY!!! The GENUINE LOVE that every person there displayed to me showed a different kind of care that was different and FAR BETTER then any service I received elsewhere. THANK YOU for giving me back, MY BRINDIE!!!
