Dr Johnson and her entire staff are the most personable and warmest vet and staff you’ll ever want to meet. We looked at a lot of vet practices to choose for our miny long haired dachshund Oscar. We moved to Fairfax Virginia in April and after searching several animal hospitals/clinics we found our forever vet practice. Dr Johnson and her staff are now family and you will feel the same once you visit Jermantown Animal. For us, they’re # 1.

Switched to a new pet insurance and saw this practice was within network. I had a great experience from scheduling to continuing care for my dog. This is a fear free vet that accommodates animals very well. My dog is a bit scared of people and the weight table and they were very helpful. The Vet was very knowledgeable and provided great expertise on medication and treatment with considering budgets and costs. Definitely happy to come back with all my doggos.

My new go to for amazing dog care. Dr. J. is a very compassionate and patient vet who will make sure your dog is comfortable and fear free. She’s willing to take the time to teach you how to do things yourself so you can ultimately be your dogs best care taker. My dog Gus has a huge fear going to the vet which is why I decided to give this practice a chance. My vists here have been the best by far. The staff is very welcoming and caring above all. They take detailed notes and Dr. J goes above and beyond to answer all your questions and make sure you understand how to approach issues that are current or may come up in the future. My advise to anyone coming here is to ask lots of questions and to not be afraid to asking how to do things yourself like cleaning your dogs ears or even givin

My very old kitty with kidney disease was terribly constipated and desperately needed a kitty enema. Dr.Johnson and her team were absolute champs. They got me in right before their closing time on a Saturday (most vets would’ve turned me away) and gave him perfect care. He’s in a very fragile balance, and they addressed the constipation situation in a gentle way that was minimally disruptive to all of the other health issues I am managing for him. A trip to the ER would have been so expensive and so stressful, and they took care of his GI situation economically and efficiently. Dr. Johnson and the rest of the staff at Jermantown Animal Hospital are amazing! We’re taking our rescue beagle, Biscuit, there for heartworm treatment. Dr. Johnson answered all of our questions in a very clear and concise way, and all of the staff were exceptional in making Biscuit feel safe (with plenty of treats). Scheduling, payment, and everything administrative was also a breeze. We could not recommend them more!
