***update - Notified 11/20/2025 by the state that JC Pets was inspected and failed inspection due to this and other violations.*** Owner sold us a tortoise size that has been federally banned since 1975 specifically due to increased health risks to children. Within days my son fell ill - after 2 weeks of several blood tests, er visit, fever, swollen lymph nodes, body aches, gi issues we received notice from the state dept of public health that my child was positive for salmonella. I have brought the issue and wrongful sale to the owners attention and requested a replacement of legal / safe size but been completely ignored. Pet store is now being investigated by the state for the issue.

We were passing through on a straight shot from SoCal to Telluride and left a pet bowl at a restaurant in Flagstaff. Barely making it before they were closed, I found the perfect replacement feed bowl for my dog. We liked it so much, we found the same brand online and got another. It was cheaper at JC! Kudos to you.

This is the best place in town. If you need anything you should go there. I would give them ten stars if I could.

I come here on a regular basis to get toys and upkeep items for my pet chinchilla and I have never once had a bad experience. The father and daughter who own this establishment are just WONDERFUL! They have always treated me with the upmost respect and care, as well as educating me when needed. If you have any exotic pets this is the place to go!

“The” place in town for fish. Highly helpful. Their stock today was a little low, but it was explained that it is because of delivery; the fish can’t take the stress of so much heat and travel at the same time.
