Jasper Humane Society

My family has fostered several dogs from the downtown Jasper shelter / Bham Humane Society for RUFF Rescue. The staff and volunteers really know and care for the dogs and cats in their care. If you ever consider adding a new pet to your family, please stop by and see the many sweet dogs and cats that are there. I'm very sure you'll find the one with the right personality to enhance and bring joy to your family and home. I've added pictures of many of the ones that have spent time in our home before moving on to their forever families.

I wouldn't recommend anyone taking any animal there.. Folks can't seem to get their story straight about my cat that was taken there without my permission. 1st, they were closed that day, then they don't remember who brought my cat. Now they remember my cat, but she ran away before they could get her inside.. ALL lies!!!! Terrible people that have NO idea what it's like apparently to lose what I considered my baby!!! Oh, but they did offer to set a trap outside for her to see if they could catch her.. Like I said, terrible, heartless people, or at least the 2 blondes that were there that day. Oh & FYI, I left messages daily on a phone number that they NEVER answer and when I asked how come they didn't return my calls, they informed me there was nothing to say about my cat..
