Huntingdon County Humane Society

The one lady who has straight hair and a permeant nasty look on her face is extremely rude and has the personality of a brick. They do not check their emails. i had to update my cats shots and my vets office emailed them with ALL the INFORMATION THAT WAS REQURIED. so i went and had ALL 5 no 7 cats shots updated and proof they have no cotton balls so that my son could adopt a kitten. and they refused due to lack of checking their emails. Only one woman was friendly. CHANGE YOUR STAFF. And i will donate to Altoona Humane Society but not Huntingdon. no wonder people do not come to adopt animals.

Wonderful place to adopt an animal from. All animals are well socialized, loved, and completely up to date on vetting before adoption. The adoption process is very easy and the adoption fees are very reasonable. They take time to make sure that the pets are matched with their perfect home, rather than adopting to the first person to apply/visit. Glad we could add old lady Ethel to our home. 💕

Staff is super friendly! And you can tell the cats are very well taken care of. Would definitely recommend adopting or volunteering here.

Was looking for a lost dog. The payoff was $10k. Which I wouldn't take anyway. Volunteer coordinator (?) Patricia Beck was cordial and the shelter manager was very nice to speak with. See you's soon.

No cages for the well behaved and healthy cats. This tread needs to move into other centers that have all the cats and dogs in cages. So beautiful to be able to pet the animals even when you can't give homes to them. Less cages is better.
