Great staff who take great care of their kittens. I adopted my black kitten, Boo, and the process was thorough yet speedy. Jenna is a sweetheart who is great at her job, and I highly recommend to anyone who also wants a sweet cat in their lives!

My family and I live in Burnt Ranch, and we have a home in McKinleyville. There is one vet in Willow Creek, and the closest one from there further on is an hour away. We found a litter of kittens in our yard in Burnt Ranch, and because of the diverse wildlife that lives in that area, one of the kittens was attacked and we needed to take it to a vet. We went to the vet in Willow Creek (which is Humboldt County) and they were closed today, so we had to drive to the next closest vet in McKinleyville. They referred us to the Humboldt County Shelter for help because they were full. We walked in and we started to explain our situation. I rated this a 3 out of 5 stars because it seems like they took good care of the animals and that is the most important thing!! With that said, the lady at the front desk was very rude and cold and definitely discouraged me from adopting there. I got a cat from Craigslist instead. 👍

Kinda like they think you’re gonna eat the dog or something never heard of having to fill out paperwork before you could even see a dog
