Such a wonderful safe space! We have a great relationship with HVHS. This is a loving and caring environment and support all they do!

We got a wonderful puppy Opal. She is known by everyone connected with this Humane Society. The staff knew she was for our family. They are so caring, informative and welcoming.

Yesterday 10/1/20 we took our (2) 5 month of babies to be spayed & neutered. We had an amazing experience and they are home recovering nicely. The staff was very kind & I've already referred them to my friends. They also have a on-site fully staffed animal hospital along with the van where they do the spay & neutering 💞

A lot of racial discrimination going on at this animal shelter. I would not recommend at all. Animal shelters are all about finding the animals good homes to go to. Definitely not holding them in a cage like it’s a zoo, only for “favorites” to have the ability to get any animal of their choice in their home… I called and the manager hung up on me I proceeded to drive there and a young lady said “our phone has been acting weird all day” like I was going to buy that. My wife and I filled out the application and was told that we were going to get a callback for an appointment, it is now been 2 months. Ridiculous 0 stars if I could.

This establishment is wonderful Sammy is highly conscientious about the animals and the order of things here and cares so much about all the pets and people coming through here. This society is appointment only and for good reason, it gives animals much anxiety and causes stress to have strangers/mixed energies constantly coming in and out, also, the workers here set up appointments specifically to try and match you with a pet that is conducive to your needs, your living situation and your lifestyle. In this way, they ensure the best ideal match fit made in heaven, for you and your new furry friend. In this way everyone wins in the end. It is also very clean and organized here.
