Hometown Hounds

Chris did a great job with our new puppy Smokey! As first time dog owners, we were very green to training, but Chris made it easy by laying out all of the critical commands to train and milestones to reach for new puppy owners. We did the multi session package which ended up being a great value in the long run, but even upon completion of the training Chris would frequently check in on our progress. Chris truly cares about his clients and we would strongly recommend to all who are considering training for their new puppy!

Chris is truly a lifesaver. He is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and endlessly patient. He worked thoughtfully with both our older dog (addressing issues we’d been struggling with for quite some time), as well as our new puppy, setting both of them up for long-term success. The confidence shift we’ve seen in our older pup has been nothing short of amazing- Walks used to be incredibly stressful, but Chris helped turn him into a well-mannered gentleman who no longer pulls/barks at people or other dogs in the neighborhood. Chris Maguire did an amazing job training my puppy (now almost 2 years old) Maggie. He patiently taught her to sit, lie down, come when called, and even go to the bathroom on command. His friendly, positive approach works wonderfully with both puppies and adult dogs, and he’s just as great with people as he is with pets. I highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a skilled and caring dog trainer.

Chris is extremely knowledgeable and patient. While working with my dog Seven and I, he showcased several techniques for on-leash walking vastly improving Seven’s behavior while taking walks around the neighborhood.
