Hometown Bed & Biscuits

Where do I even start with Hometown Bed and Biscuit in Franconia, VA? I am currently boarding my fur baby there, and it’s such a great experience! From the second I walk in; I always feel right at home thanks to the super friendly staff. Amer and Kisha greet me like we are old friends, which makes the check-in so easy and relaxed. And…they call my fur baby by name every time! As a pet parent, finding a trustworthy place to leave my pup is super important because I am out of town a lot lately. I feel really comfortable leaving him there, and it makes such a difference knowing he is in good hands. My fur baby absolutely loves it there and comes home happy and relaxed, with no signs of trauma, which is always a worry! And Valarie, the groomer. She listens to exactly what I want for my pet’s

We were able to board our pup of 4 years in very short notice. We could not be more grateful for Hometown to have availability for her to stay for almost a week. They were very accommodating, and had a schedule laid out to take care of her and take her on walks. They were understanding of her nervousness, especially separation anxiety. When I called to check in on her, they responded with patience. They were supportive and honest on how she was doing. It’s clear that she was well taken care of and treated with care during her stay!

Cru is ALWAYS excited to be here. They personal touches and their knowledge of our fur babies is unmatched. The fact that his Vet is attached makes it not only convenient, it’s like being home! ☺️

TLDR: Be very cautious of Hometown B&B’s groomers. Two incidents of carelessness that caused physical harm and bleeding to my dog. Never using their services again. I’ve been bringing my dog here for over three years; always for grooming, never for boarding. Most of the time there were no issues. About a year ago, an incident occurred that was explained to me as such by the manager: An assistant groomer was being trained that day and they were using sheers/buzzer that was their own and not provided by Hometown. My dog’s stomach-area had severe razor burn which was not reported to anyone until the head groomer saw it later when my dog was trying to lick his burn constantly. My dog was admitted to the vet clinic next door to make sure he was fine, to which they deemed he was. I was not told

My dogs (one who is quite elderly) are happy. They really take care to ensure my older pup is comfortable and safe, down to where he stays. . I prefer that they board with a very good vet.
