Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital

💭Review is based on first time experience 🏡 Small local vet I can get to within 5 minutes! I believe they unfortunately only have 2 (?) rooms per patient. So this means wait time here might be a bit longer than normal if not busy. Yet, it’s pretty cozy and homey. 🌸 Everyone seems pretty friendly and they are very patient with my cats skittish nature. 📍I haven’t had issues yet with them!

They are wonderful. The place is not fancy and shiny like some other clinics and can feel cramped. But if you can look past that, all staff and vets are great. They really care about your pet, actually spend time to talk to you, in person and on the phone. They recommend things, but I never feel like they push extra things for more money like so many other places do. At the same time, they are attentive and thorough. My GSD gets nervous and can be reactive with new people, but he has been very calm there and likes the staff.

My cat Leo was only a patient for a few months, but the staff there felt like family. Dr Watts and Dr Fernandez made each visit easier despite Leo’s diagnosis. I appreciate every staff member for caring for Leo as if he was their own. After he passed at home, they sent a lovely card signed by everyone and it really touched my heart to know he was loved everywhere he went and people were thinking of me as well in my time of loss. They are truly a vet clinic like no other.

My cat needed to come in for an emergency visit. Dr. Fernandez clearly outlined my options of treatment, as well as his recommendations & why. Told me the possible outcomes based on my choices, but left it up to me as the pet owner. That was relieving that I got time to weigh and make a decision. Left my cat in good hands, and treatment and recovery are going as planned.

It was my first time at Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital. It was a great experience start to finish. I loved the ability to schedule online. When I got there the staff was excellent, detail oriented and caring. I was able to get medication and even purchase specialty food that I needed right there. They helped me carry everything to the car. Can’t say enough about how positive the whole appointment was. I will definitely be back.
