Hayward Animal Shelter

Very helpful in getting a rabbit. I was surprised they still had record of when I got my dog, Blitz.

Today we got free dog and cat food and clothes , a cone, and a leash for our doggy from there. Thank you . We appreciatethe help. .. I was told that was a one time thing since I don't live in hayward. I live in san leandro and if I need assistance like that again I have to go to the Dublin animal shelter.

We got our little Milo here and are so happy. They really care about all animals and making sure they are taken care of and find good homes.

I came here to adopt a cat , my wife wanted to look at several cats in one day and a young guy lets us the first week . we came back around and a girl helped us , she was very rude and assumed we were just wasting our time , she told us our limit was 3 cats per visit , no one had ever mentioned this to us . After all when you adopt an animal you want to make sure , you can build a bond and that the animal is comfortable around you . The so called trainer that helped us has an attitude and would throw indirect comments our way , my wife got fed up and we left, i feel like no one should be-little any person trying to adopt an animal that needs a home, this was very unprofessional ... glad we adopted els-where .

Very clean & organized facility, and friendly staff. There's also plenty of space to interact with the animals as just a normal visitor.
