Harmony House For Cats

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience adopting our newest addition. We scheduled an appointment but were able to also do a walk in the day prior. We were given helpful information about the cats and were able to decide on one to bring home. We’re super excited and thankful for the easy and pleasant experience.

Sweet and cozy experience! For $15 you get 45 minutes to hang out and pet the cats. They have free drinks like hot cocoa and coffee. There are plenty of toys to play with, and all of the cats are adoptable. You can tell they’re well cared for and loved. Such a fun way to spend some time (and maybe meet your future best friend 🐾).

My wife and I had an awful experience trying to adopt a cat from here. While it's clear the volunteers care deeply for the cats in their care, it seems like the shelter is not interested in helping these cats find their forever homes. We visited with the intention of adopting a specific cat, below is what happened: - We made our initial visit and we're told that in order to adopt the cat we were interested in, we would have to make multiple visits. We had absolutely no issue with that and planned to come in again soon. - We made our second visit (Saturday) and were informed by Jennifer that we would still have to visit again for the cat we were interested in to get comfortable with us and that someone would be taking the cat to the vet the next week (Tuesday) to make sure she was up to da

I got my cat from harmony house about two months ago, it was a great shelter and a very easy process! I loved that they included no declawing in the contract. He was originally Dizzy Gillespie, now he’s Pascal!

Best cat shelter in Chicago! We went to a few before meeting our boy Pepe (Falo before) here. Clara (I think her name was) was very nice and introduced each cat to us. They know all their names and their personalities. That shows how loved the cats are in here. And there are a lot! The staff and volunteers care about the cats and they made it so easy for us to get Pepe home. We love him. Thank you so much Harmony House for Cats!
