We first brought our beloved dog Bayleigh to Dr. K over ten years ago, and from that very first visit, we knew our pets were in the best hands. What initially drew us in were her impressive Ivy League credentials and the warmth and professionalism of her staff. But what has kept us coming back for over a decade is something far more meaningful—Dr. K’s extraordinary compassion, dedication, and genuine love for animals. Over the years, our family has grown to include several more dogs and cats, and Dr. K has cared for each of them with the same level of expertise, kindness, and attentiveness that won us over in the beginning. She takes the time to explain, to listen, and to treat not only the pet, but the whole family with care and respect. Dr. K doesn’t just practice veterinary medicine—s

While we lived in Manhattan, HAH was our go-to veterinarian for our dog, as their prices were very reasonable and their care was very welcoming and kind. We moved to Brooklyn this fall and had to change vets, and unfortunately our dog passed shortly after. The team at Harlem was very kind about stopping treatment reminder emails for us, and shortly afterward we received a kind and totally unexpected condolences call from Dr. Kiani. These final gestures cemented our trust in this practice, and we would recommend them to any pet owner in Manhattan.

I’ve always had a great experience going to Harlem Animal Hospital. My cats are always well taken care of by Dr.K and staff. I also appreciate them always taking the time to address our concerns. They really care about my fur babies

To my non surprise, this establishment is not Black owned, which aligns with the dismissive and poor treatment I have experienced over the years. I originally went to this clinic when it first opened. During those early visits, my dog was severely nicked during treatment and later came home with fleas. Because of these experiences, I stopped going for many years. Unfortunately, due to the lack of other veterinary options in the immediate area, I had no choice but to return between 2023 and 2025. Since then, nearly every visit has involved some type of issue. Customer service is consistently poor, phone calls are rarely answered, and communication is extremely difficult. I have been overcharged on multiple occasions and treated dismissively when raising concerns. The owner and head veter

I’m very grateful for Dr. Kiani and the whole Harlem Animals Hospital team. She and the technicians take lovely care of my cats, remembers their unique quirks and issues and considers their long term health and comfort in her treatment plans. I see them care about other animals like coming out to see them when they hear a patient is in the lobby when they weren’t in the last time they came. Even though scheduling can be tight or far out at first, they’ll work with you to try their best and get you in when it’s really needed. Dr. Kiani is deeply committed to the community and our pets and that is clear in how she runs this clinic and who she chooses to work with her.
