Started a new class with my Corgi pup. Not sure who learned more, her or me. Very excited about all the different classes and opportunities offered here. Phenomenal facility and just a couple miles outside Boerne, TX.
We are just starting the puppy training class with Heather. She is extremely informative and very nice.! We look forward to continuing classes with her!
We are fortunate to have Happy Tails Dog Training Center in our community. Our dog’s behavior had become worse after another training business misrepresented their abilities. Brenda never fails to impress! She’s not only training our dog, she is training me as well. (I’m the slower learner!). Her instructions are clear and she sends me home with print outs so I can continue the lessons at home. Our dog has shown awesome improvement! We once feared we may have to put him down due to aggressive behavior, but that is no longer a thought.
We love taking our puppy there. He's built so much confidence and it's so much fun! We've done 2 classes through happy tails and plan on doing more in the future.
The classes were fine, but there is very little 1 on 1 with the trainers. I took the basic manners class. In my class there was about 10 dogs and their owners, if not more. There were a few times the trainer would borrow a dog and show us examples of what she wanted. Each class was an hour long, once a week. I think 5 weeks of classes. We were given generic homework each week to practice before the next class. Overall I think the basic classes are good for general knowledge. I was a bit disappointed though, as I feel my dog (mostly me, I guess) needed a lot more direct help and advice regarding some of his behaviors. At this point I do believe my dogs issues are outside the scope of the programs available here. A major problem I had was the trainer did not really make herself available
