I had been taking my two golden doodles here for over a year. Brandy was always amazing with them and we never had an issue. The last time I had them groomed, the owner proceeds to tell me at pickup that it’s going to cost twice as much for one dog because his coat was matted. I had spent the entire night before brushing him out and while he did need a good grooming, he was definitely not matted. He was then shaved. Then she looks at my second dog and says that his coat is much better and it will be normal price. When I came to pick him up, she charged me twice as much and I asked if his coat was really bad and she said no, it was because of his “size and attitude”. Only place that can trim my pups nails and he doesn't go crazy or have to be knocked out. And for $5!!! Can't beat that. Late update: Took my pup back to get his nails trimmed early this summer. The normal woman who always did his nails wasn't in, but I figured this woman would be OK. Boy was I wrong. My guy doesn't like his front paws touched so he pulls them back a lot, so it can be challenging. The previous woman knew this and was gentle and was able to get it done with no issues. I don't even have to be back there most times for her to do it. The woman who did it this time, she was overly aggressive, my guy kept trying to step off the table because of this. Do not take your dog here! We have taken our dog for grooming multiple times and have been accepting- not thrilled - about the quality of his grooming. Today, dropped him off for grooming. When we picked him up, we asked where he was and the reply was "He's back with the screamers." Imagine referring to your dog as a screamer. They have never been very friendly but this is unacceptable. Our dog is a 20-pound,13-year-old dog dealing with arthritis and pain in his back legs. He is quiet and well-behaved but if he is confined to a cage, he becomes very anxious. He has never been caged. We will never be back. She should not be in this business if she does not love dogs.
