Customer Reviews
I had a great experience with Great Plains vet. I think a lot of the bad reviews are people under stress and overwhelmed with emotions because for me, yes I was worried about my kittie, but they got the me soonest appointment as possible and even advised me where to go if he worsened. Upon arriving I gave them all the documentation of my cat’s medical history the staff was very friendly and quickly got what needed to be done without spooking my cat, he was even comfortable enough to loaf while we waited. I told them my budget and they were kind enough to give me a discount so that I would be able to afford it. This is a great vet clinic and I recommend it.
Took my puppy to get his first round of vaccines for parvo and he was fine after, however the next day he was very lethargic which I knew it was due to the vaccine. Called Great Plains in the morning with concerns about how he was acting and told me that he should have had a reaction to the vaccine 30 minutes after and asked if I wanted to test for parvo which I knew my puppy did not have parvo so I declined it. Later in the evening he regained strength and his appetite came back. I loved the staff there very polite however I did not like how they instantly thought it was parvo due to him being a puppy. I can say I will not be going back due to misinformation.
Really nice people. Very patient with animals
Low prices and good employees helping us out recommend
I brought my dog here because I was sure he scratched his eye or had something in it. When he was seen, the vet performed a stain test and said there were no scratches or anything in his eye. It was just irrated. He put him on some antibiotics eye ointment for a week. Through the course of the week, there was very obviously an indent on his eye that myself and others could see. His eye never fully got better and, in some instances, got worse. He was rechecked the following week, to which the vet said the eye looked fine. There was nothing wrong with it and to keep using medicine. These 2 visits cost me a total of $242.37. I decided to get a second opinion, and my dog was diagnosed with an active ulcer, prescribed multiple drops and antibiotics, that cost me close to 500. This vet missed
