Genesee County Animal Control

We were so impressed with the animal shelter. It's very clean and well run. You can tell the staff love animals. It was decorated so cute for Christmas. We adopted Jingles the kitten, who has since been renamed Roger. He is a bundle of energy and exactly what we wanted. We love you guys! Thanks for all you do for animals!

We have went 3 times so far, each time the staff and volunteers were very helpful and informative. It's refreshing to see this in a working environment, as this. Animals are well taken care of. We hope to pick up our new addition this coming week. So glad to have another one to cuddle with. We picked her up, she is playful and very gentle. She sleeps with us all night. Our Sheltie was unsure at first and is warming up. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to share our lives with another doggy that needed a home ❗ Lilly Liúghag

Horrible rude staff!! They wouldn't allow me to adopt an animal due to them closing in an hr and half drove over an hr away for this dog. Also they told me she's not even in they're "book" yet she's not available that same day found out she was adopted out they lie and they pick and choose who they adopt to do not recommend

I took a stray in that I found, they literally TOLD ME TO JUST LET HER GO OUTSIDE. Because “she looks healthy and fed” bro. I explained to her why this is not good because it continues the cycle of homeless kittens! Unbelievable

I was delivering Thanksgiving stuffed Kongs to the sweet babes who reside in this shelter. Kongsgiving 2025 (Bark Nation!) was a huge success. GCAC is an amazing facility with dedicated staff and volunteers. I enjoyed my visit very much.
