Fur Keeps Animal Rescue

I REALLY wanted to like this rescue, but the way I was treated was completely ridiculous and I had to find another rescue to help my fosters. I first contacted them when I had found a pregnant stray with an older approximately five month old male kitten. The son I let someone else care for because he was stressing her out so much. I wanted to get her spayed ASAP, but I was told the rescue does not do spay abort, even when it’s clearly the best option. When I brought her into the vet, the VET told me that it was just her bladder and she was NOT pregnant. I knew in my heart she was pregnant by her approximately five month old son because they were found together, and unfortunately that’s biology. I have had a great experience with Fur Keeps :) I have adopted 2 dogs from them and love them so much! And I will be in for a check up soon! I wish I could adopt more, but can't and would recommend others to check in and see if there's a good fit for them. Thank you Fur Keeps for saving these animals. My friend has also adopted a cat from them, and he is also doing well! He is very funny and brings her daughter lots of happiness!

I don't know why they have so many bad reviews we got our pug here over a year ago and yeah sure he needed a bath but the lady who owns this place lives on a farm not in the suburbs. I think he might of had a couple fleas but again on a farm not the end of the world. You're so post to bring your pet for a follow up at your local vet and have the chip updated. If I remember correctly if your pet gets lost you're so post to contact them. Idk I think people's expectations are skewed.

I would never adopt the cat from this place again. My cat got lost and they grabbed him and they never called me when it was a chip on my cat. How I found they had Adam is the chip people called me and told me they wanted to change the chip. Because they adopted them, they didn't even call me to see if I wanted my cat back or anything, please don't buy don't get cats from them because they don't even have consideration to call me. Cause they know they were wrong.I even had my cat on Paws boost. Or lost cats have police reports.I have everything about my cat That is bad business

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I have many of the same complaints as others. I just wish I had read them before adopting our new cat. We have two others at home that are 4 years old and in generally good health. We fell in love with our new cat's photo online and decided to adopt him while being told he has been checked and was healthy. Literally from day one, he's had issues and now we're racking up the vet bills and waiting to see if our other cats catch the tapeworm and parasites that he has. The so called vet that works with this company said he was perfectly healthy after we went for a checkup and checked his stool. Our regular vet also checked and found all of his current issues. Don't adopt from here, ever!
