We recently had to make the devastating decision to say goodbye to our dog, Bentley, after 13 wonderful years. During such a heartbreaking time, the team at the Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency was an absolute blessing. They were incredibly accommodating of our needs and cared for Bentley with the same tenderness as if he were their own. A week after he passed, we received a sympathy card in the mail signed by the entire staff. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and meant the world to us. If you find yourself in an emergency, I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. They offer not just medical expertise, but true, genuine compassion when you need it most.

These guys were amazing! Don’t let the reviews sway you, because I cannot tell you enough how great this place was. We live up in Mariposa, an hour and 20 mins away and on MLK jr day (yesterday) our doggy was running around with the zoomies and managed to find a piece of metal siding that had come off our old shed she ran behind. She sliced herself a 10” flap pocket between her fur and her ribs along her left side and needed immediate medical attention. Nothing near us was equipped to handle that so we booked it down to Fresno, and this place answered right away, and assured me we could get in quickly without a wait and could walk in whenever. We got there and they walked us through the process and costs, and despite charging us the top amount of their estimate, they ended up refunding us

We are so grateful for the care and compassion the entire team showed our family and our beloved pet. We had to make the incredibly difficult decision to put him down, and the staff handled every step with so much tenderness, patience, and understanding. They treated our pet with love and dignity, and they made sure we felt supported during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Their kindness and professionalism brought comfort when we needed it most. Thank you for going above and beyond for our family. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this animal hospital. I brought my cat in because she was clearly in distress, and instead of receiving thoughtful, thorough care, we were given what turned out to be an incorrect diagnosis. What was even more upsetting than the misdiagnosis was the complete lack of empathy from the staff. My cat was suffering, and I was visibly distressed. Not once did anyone show compassion, patience, or genuine concern. The tone felt patronizing and dismissive, as though we were just another invoice rather than a hurting animal and worried owner. The financial aspect also felt prioritized over care. I understand veterinary medicine is a business, but when compassion is absent and the diagnosis is wrong, it leaves a very bitter impression. I love this pet hospital. They are so kind and compassionate with my dogs, who appear stressed and anxious, when they are hurt. Everyone is so calm and kind. The vets are top notch. They have taken such great care of my dogs when they needed emergency care. They are also very helpful if they don’t do something I need, they are happy to help me find the right resource. I can’t say enough good things about the staff.
