For Pets' Sake

I’ve been taking my dog here for her entire life. Hazel is wonderful and careful and always remembers my baby. I don’t trust anyone else with my 9 lb morkie. I don’t even live nearby anymore and drive 30-45 minutes for these appointments.

I wouldn’t recommend this salon. I didn’t feel safe with my pet here. I had a first time appointment for my Persian cat last week at 7:30am. The shop wasn’t open and there was an outburst from an arriving employee, involving lots of cussing and throwing things. From that, there is only one groomer who does cats (which I wasn’t made aware of prior to booking) who showed up nearly 30 minutes late to my appointment and I had to remind her of a few things during the process. Overall, she didn’t seem very seasoned which made me hesitant, but I stayed the course. Moving on from that, the owners dogs run around OFF LEASH (one pictured in this review). Other arriving dogs the staff would let run to the back, but would place them in a secure spot (which still wasn’t great). The owners dogs though,

I love Daisha! She always does a great job cutting both of my toy poodles (10lbs 11yo and 8lbs 5yo). She takes great care of them and handles them both well, including their quirks and wiggling! I always leave happy with their hair cuts. Daisha is always calm, timely, and professional and connects well with both of my pups who get a bit anxious going to get groomed. Can’t recommend her enough!

Had a wonderful experience getting my two dogs groomed here. I am new to the area and called all around the DMV to find a new groomer, and For Pet’s Sake had the best prices and great looking photos. They got me in same-day and my two dogs look incredible. They were super friendly, did exactly what I asked for and my anxious pup seemed very comfortable with them. Will be coming back to them for every groom. Every dog that left looked great and seemed happy.

I just moved to Alexandria and this place was so patient with my two large senior dogs during their first nail trim. I really appreciated how patient the staff was and they did a really good job with the nail clips and cleaning up their grinch feet. :)
