Felines & Canines

I am SO impressed with Felines and Canines. I wanted to adopt a cat this month and visited several different shelters across the city over the past few weeks. Felines & Canines was, by far, the cleanest, most organized, and most welcoming facility that I stopped by. Most importantly, the cats seemed healthy and happy---not to knock other rescues/shelters, but I observed so many obviously sick cats mingling with healthy cats at other places. Makayla and Sam were familiar with every cat in their care, and were able to answer questions about each one I asked about. The first night I made an appointment, I left without adopting anybody... but couldn't stop thinking about one particular kitty all week. Sam was very prompt with answering all of my emails and let me come in for another appointmen

We had an absolutely wonderful experience adopting from Felines & Canines. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. They were clear, timely, and genuinely caring in responding to our interest in adoption. They were responsive to all of our questions before, during, and even after the adoption process, which made everything feel smooth and reassuring. What truly stood out was how much time and care they gave us during the matching/adoption process. We were never rushed and were encouraged to take all the time we needed to meet the cats we were matched with, get to know their personalities, and make the right decision for our home. I adopted two cats from Felines and Canines this past weekend, and I can't express enough my happiness and delight at the experience of working and communicating with the organization, specifically Samantha, their Director of Operations. Sam was so pleasant in her emails, as well as in person when coming in to see the kitties. You can tell the organization loves and cares for every animal that comes in. What impressed me the most was that everyone on the team knew all of the cats' names and personality traits when I asked questions. Incredible! As soon as I had the two kitties picked out I wanted to bring home (see kitties in their new environment), Sam and her team completed a whole wellness check, made sure to clean them up, and ensured they had all their shots. What an absolute dream adoption experience. All of their kitties are so loved and cared for. The staff was very knowledgeable about all of their preferences and personality traits. Even though I went in looking for an older boy, and they introduced me to quite a few lovely gents, this little girl chose me. Excellent communication with the team from start to finish and I can't recommend this shelter enough!

We adopted two cats about a week ago and had a positive experience throughout. The staff is outstanding — thorough, professional, knowledgable and friendly. The animals were clearly well cared-for, the facilities are clean and we left confident that we could call if we had any questions or concerns. Highly recommend!
