I cannot recommend these people enough, I sadly lost my cat due to old age, but these lovely people took so much care of him afterwards and even helped me get through my immediate sadness, they also took excellent care of my boy when I held him over and gave me prints, and his collar back, as well as a gorgeous box for him and a clay paw print. 100% would recommend and if I am ever in the area again and need a doctor these are the people I'm trusting with my animals

I kind of dread taking my senior cat to the vet, it’s always expensive, there’s always something not quite right but no real solution is given and I always walk away feeling a little defeated and sad. Yesterday was the first time I actually walked out feeling good about what I paid, the care he received and the direction we are going to address some health concerns. I can’t thank the care team enough, they were awesome and I look forward to continuing care here. It’s expensive but you aren’t just pay for a vet, you are paying for a team of people that care and do everything they can to show you that. Thanks for being awesome.

I started coming here after a bad incident at another vet and needing to find a fear free place for my nervous dog. They’ve been beyond wonderful. Dr. Gosline spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me before our first visit trying to figure out the best way to make my dog feel comfortable during her initial visit, and our first appt spent over 30 minutes really taking their time to make sure my dog felt safe and comfortable. I highly recommend, especially if you have a nervous/skittish pet!

Fairfax Veterinary Hospital is an outstanding choice for anyone with a dog who is fearful or reactive at the vet. They are a true Fear Free practice in every sense… not just in name, but in the way the staff move, speak, make decisions, and structure the environment. Their commitment to keeping dogs under threshold is 100%. We joined their Calm at the Vet program after a frightening blood draw at a previous clinic (frightening for the vet, my dog, and me). My dog panicked, and despite his escalating fear, the vet recommended we proceed. I regret consenting to that. His anxiety around veterinary care intensified afterward, and I worried that he might need full sedation for every procedure going forward. Fairfax Veterinary Hospital takes the opposite approach. Amazing staff here that really know what they're doing and have such a huge compassion for helping animals. We took our puppy there and she absolutely loved it. The rooms are nice and cozy with toys, beds, blankets, water bowls, and plenty of treats. Our dog took her shots like a champ and didn't even wince because she was so into licking puppy food from a lick pad. Fear free for sure. Highly recommend!
