Fairfax Ridge Animal Hospital

We’ve been with Fairfax Ridge Animal Hospital for two years and have always had a great experience. The team is kind, responsive, and always helped us get appointments quickly. Most recently, they took excellent care of all the travel documents our Sam needed. We truly recommend Dr. Ram and the entire team!

Unfortunately we would not recommend using Fairfax Ridge Animal Hospital. My wife and I brought our two dogs there last year because one of them was having severe diarrhea. Our normal vet was closed (it was a holiday weekend) and we were hoping to save money by not going to an ER, since Fairfax Ridge offers urgent care and extended hours. While we were happy that Fairfax Ridge got us in within a few hours on the same day we called (the reason for 2 stars and not 1), the experience was very poor and unlike any vet experience we've had before. In hindsight, we should have just gone to our normal ER since we have never had a bad experience there before. First of all when we called, the receptionist was very unwelcoming and unfriendly. DO NOT VISIT THIS CLINIC!! I took my 14-year-old dog here because our regular veterinarian had no availability that week. We were seen by Dr. Anhil for a small mass on my dog’s shoulder that was bleeding. For context, my dog has several small masses on his body, all of which have already been tested by our primary veterinarian and confirmed to be non-cancerous. Dr. Anhil told me that my dog had cancer and needed to begin chemotherapy, basing this diagnosis on only LOOKING at the size and location of a different mass my dog has had for over five years—not the one that was bleeding. Make sure to call BEFORE you head over. The site says $25 per vaccine special Their Facebook says no need for an appointment just come and be gone and done within 10 mins. You later find that they say a “doctors exam” is needed if they haven’t seen your dog before and that it’s “legally” required. I just scheduled with petsmart for today at 1pm and NO doctors exam is needed for my dog to get her canine flu shot. Same state. Same shot. Same type of animal. I doubt Petsmart would be

My dog, Bella, and I discovered Dr. Ram and his friendly staff at Fairfax Ridge out of pure necessity. Bella had been diagnosed with a cancerous growth on her neck at a different veterinary clinic. They were wanting to charge a fairly high amount of money for the surgery and aftercare. I began making calls around town and reached Anna at Fairfax Ridge. Long story short, Dr. Ram worked with me to help get some of the cost down which I truly appreciated. Bella is now home and recovering! A huge “thank you” to Dr. Ram and his staff as they were all very helpful and supportive along the way. We are now just awaiting the lab results to see if we got it all out (fingers crossed). You would do yourself and your pets well by taking them to Dr. Ram!!!
