I've been bringing my precious border collie Pepper here for 5 years - Dr. Fernandez is exceptional, very professional, and always takes time to explain what is going on and the various options. Pepper had a cavity which she treated with such care and precision, and Pepper being very picky about who handles him, was given extra special care and attention. I cannot recommend Dr. Fernandez and El Cerrito Veterinary Care highly enough. We are so happy that Pepper gets to experience such high quality, loving, and expert medical attention. Thank you!

I've been using El Cerrito Veterinary Care since they opened. Courteous front desk staff and vet techs. Dr. Buttar is thorough and takes time for any question you have. Not the least expensive, but not as expensive as some.

This veterinary office did a major tooth extraction on my 6lb little 16 year old dog that involved the removal of 25 teeth. As part of that, they were supposed to take x-rays both before and after the procedure. My dog never properly healed from whatever it was they did during the surgery. So, I took him to a different vet who looked in his mout 6 weeks later and said it was terribly inflamed and my dog still has a hard time eating. She asked to see the post-surgical x-rays and when I went back to get them, first they wouldn't send them. I looked at the bill and I was billed for x-rays. After five or six calls they finally sent me x-rays from before the surgery. But none from post-surgery, which was the important one. Both of our kittens Momo and Zeus have been seeing Dr. Heather Kriensky since 2020! She is incredible and has helped both kittens grow up to be healthy! She is super responsive, properly diagnoses/examines, and most importantly doesn’t overcharge or do uncomfortable things to our boys like other inexperienced doctors do! I've been taking my cat here for years and don't trust him with another vet He's kinda special needs as he is has a history of crystals and allergies that need to be managed and this vet has always taken care of him They're super friendly, VERY transparent about price, and I know my pet is in good hands with them I recommend them to everyone
