East Bay SPCA Oakland Adoption Center

We adopted a cat today and it was just a great experience. An amazing facility with amazing staff, Gabby and Claire were so helpful. Even the staff not working with us directly were friendly and smiled at us. Truly a great place to adopt, and we love our new baby!!!

THEY ARE LIFE SAVERS HERE! My cat Tawny the love of my life and my will to live was not eating and very constipated. Turns out she had a big log of hardened feces in her. The team was prompt in responding and helping Tawny get the help she needs. Please please please take your animals here if you need help. They work endlessly to make sure our animals are protected, safe, and secure.

The staff is very kind and understanding, to be honest idk what else to say. The two times I’ve been there have been amazing, without incident. Also check out my cat shes rad😝

Today I found not just one kitten but 5 small kittens in the engine bay of my truck. We were just leaving for a couple of doctors appointments and on the way to the truck this little gray kitten falls onto the ground. As soon as it saw me it immediately ran back into my truck. I posted my partner on one side and I slowly raised the hood and there were 4 kittens looking at me and they started to run as I grabbed one at a time I'd close the hood and they would come back. It took us just over an hour to get all 5 kittens. My partner walked to the store and bought a couple of cans of food and they ate both cans. We took them to the Oakland SPCA and they told us they would keep one and the rest would have to be returned where I found them. We live off a main highway three lanes on each side. I

Was looking to rescue a dog after loosing my most recent pup to old age. The east bay spca made it a very pleasant and painless experience. The employees were kind and treated the animals with lots of love. If you are on the fence about rescuing animals, don’t hesitate they are the most grateful, loyal, and loving companions. I had a great experience adopting from this shelter. Welcome to your forever home little guy 🥰 EDIT: Theo is two next month and HE IS THE BEST BOY EVER!! BESTIES FOR LIFE!!
