Eagle County Animal Services

We adopted Rainy (fka Fir) from the good people at Eagle County Animal Services one year ago and he has brought an unmeasurable amount of happiness to our lives. Rainy is the best boy and we are so thankful for ECAS for a warm and seamless adoption experience. The facilities were clean and calm and the people were spectacular. It's clear they love what they do. To anyone reading this, make an appointment to meet the animals up for adoption at Eagle County - you won't regret it!!

While I understand the need/demand for an entity to be responsible for the strays and loved furry friends of the county. This shelter has got to be the most finicky/clique-ish shelter I’ve ever had to deal with. I was guided into thinking surrendering a COUPLE household family member’s for their ‘best interest’ was a commendable thing to do. However I was never informed that difficult decision would lead me to being COMPLETELY unable to open my home; 5&7YEARS LATER to ANY other pets of any species from this shelter. When I asked why I was unable to adopt they said because of my (2 canine) surrenders I’ve been flagged and put on a Do Not Adopt LIST. At the time of this last interaction; I was trying to adopt a couple of kittens after surrendering a couple (2) dogs. I was told I could tr

Didn’t honor their drive hold - drove 3 hours one way to find they adopted the cat to someone else even though I called the night before and the morning right as they opened to confirm. So disappointing.

We were headed your way for Mother’s Day lunch and wanted to say hello. It’s Mother’s Day and Sunday you are closed.. Oso would have loved to stop by and say hello. We are doing Fantastico. He is the best dog. I love, love him a lot. I don’t think he even knows how much, no matter how many times I say it.

We got our kitty from here and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The animals all looked well taken care of. I highly recommend getting a pet from here.
