I had an amazing experience with Tyler and Down South K9 and couldn’t recommend him more. My dog Waylon stayed with him for basic training and came back very well behaved and responsive. When I got Waylon back, they spent a couple of hours walking us through everything they worked on, showing us exactly how he was trained, and making sure we felt confident and comfortable giving all the commands ourselves. I live in Texas and I was a little nervous about not being nearby if anything came up but Tyler made it clear he was always available and even offered to do video calls if we ever needed extra help. Waylon has been amazing since coming home, and we will be traveling back to South Carolina for advanced training!

Tyler helped get my dog’s obedience back in order. I was traveling for work, nearly a year, and my Belgian Malinois had lost some drive and obedience, I just moved to Augusta and Tyler brought her back to her prime. My dog stayed with him for a month of boarding and training and we went through a training refresher with me afterwards. My dog is complemented all the time, and I attribute it all to Tyler. Tyler kept me updated regularly and I have learned a lot from him too. I only use Down South K9 for boarding and training now. I recommend Tyler to everyone.

Our 7-8 month Labrador/Australia cattle dog mix, named Trooper (Rescue) Let me start with pros and cons: Pros: Cute pup Cons: Alpha male Head strong Growl at discipline Biting Jumping Digging our yard up Let him outside. Couldn't get him in Just look in his eye, you can see the definate in him When I texted Tyler, he reached out to me right away. Tyler asked me several questions about Trooper. I did not feel rushed (like a lot of Companies do), I in returned, I questioned him about several things I was concerned with. Tyler had Trooper for 3 weeks. Sent videos of progress, which I appreciated ( I could see Trooper was safe and I could see progress at the same time). When Trooper came home, Tyler spent 2-3 hours, (we needed to be trained also) at first commands were hard for us to do

Tyler is amazing! He turned an impossible situation completely around for our pup, Boone. Our first trainer was not training Boone correctly, so Tyler had to untrain him first. Within a few weeks we had a very manageable puppy with manners and obedience. Tyler has the skills, knowledge and heart for doing what he does, not only for Boone but for us as well. He goes above and beyond for us to ensure Boone stays on track. I can't say enough about him. We are forever grateful!!

Tyler trained our 7 month old puppy. We were at our wits end and weren't sure we'd even be able to keep him especially after a previous trainer failed. Within 2 days Tyler had him leash trained. After 3 weeks we had a brand new dog. Tyler has been invaluable since, and truly is his trainer for life. As long as you keep up the training he instills in your dog, you won't regret it. Hiring a trainer isn't a one-time magic fix - it's an investment you as the owner HAVE to maintain and do your part, or it won't last. Thankfully Tyler gives you all the tools you need and is great with communication after training. Our dog loves him so much that Tyler is the only one we trust enough to board him. Can't go wrong with this company - I'll recommend to everyone.
