The people at Dogwood are all very friendly and professional, it is a good vet to go to if you need something relatively routine and quick done (ex: softpaws for cats, Rabies vaccine) . I have taken my pets there for a few years and tended to have positive experiences. The reason I did not rate higher was due to a poor experience I had at the end of last year. I would be extra wary if they try to advertise any kind of surgery (ex: teeth cleaning requiring anesthetics). I have spoken to several people living in my neighborhood that all received the same pitch around the teeth cleaning procedures they were pushing for. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of following through with this procedure (which I have come to learn was not necessary).. As a result of that surgery, my dog had a terrible

Our dog Mia stayed here for 6 nights and it could not have gone better! The folks who work here are kind, thoughtful, and patient. They were all so easy to communicate and work with. Would highly recommend them!

I am deeply disappointed in the lack of communication, professionalism, and seriousness given to my dog’s healthcare at this clinic. First, they still follow outdated COVID protocols—dogs are not weighed or examined in front of you unless you specifically ask. On a previous visit, I was told they never returned to pre-COVID procedures, which has always been concerning. I have to request that my dog be examined in my presence. Additionally, they had the wrong email address for my daughter (co-owner of our dog), which created unnecessary delays in communication. On July 31, I received an estimate that included three injections. When I called on August 18 to clarify, I was told they were sedatives for an x-ray. I explained that an x-ray was no longer needed, as it was already clear my dog
