I had the BEST experience at Dog Daze! After a bad boarding experience at another facility in Charleston, I was extremely nervous about leaving my dog, but Katie immediately put me at ease with her knowledge, experience, and genuine care. Drop-off and pick-up were a breeze, and I could tell my dog Cooper had an amazing time (he even came back smelling incredible, like fresh shampoo! LOL). When I called to check in, Katie was so friendly and reassuring, which made all the difference. I didn’t worry for a single moment during my trip, knowing Cooper was in the best hands. I’m so grateful to have found a place I fully trust, and I know Cooper will always have the best time here when I’m away. Thank you, Katie and the entire Dog Daze team, for making this such a wonderful experience!
I highly recommend taking your dogs here if you want them to be left with people who care for and love your dogs! My two boys love going to Dog Daze. We have left our dogs with them many times, and the dogs always come back happy, clean, and obviously well taken care of. One of our dogs is certainly a handful, and the people at Dog Daze are still always happy to see him. I wish I could give 10 stars because the people at Dog Daze are so kind and patient and they obviously love what they do.
We did not have a good experience and it is due to holidays. We chose this location due to smaller pet groups as discussed over the phone. We were told accommodations would be made and our dog would stay in a smaller group with older dogs. Our dog ended up in a large group where she does not fare well. They called and placed her in private play for her and other dog’s safety (reasonable). Unfortunately that meant we needed to pay an extra 20 a night which is not ideal. We were aware that dogs may be placed in private play if needed, but we feel misled due to being told the group sizes were smaller. Staff informed us they had larger groups due to holidays but did not inform us during booking- this is the reason for low stars. Staff was communicative and we never felt our dog was in danger
I have been taking my dogs here since 2013 at the new location, and even longer at the previous location. One of my dogs was special needs and they always gave him the extra care and love, he needed and pointed me in the right direction towards other things I could do to help him. When one of my dogs was just a puppy and I was dealing with anxiety and behavior issues, the owner/trainer was beyond helpful in helping to train my dog and showing me things i could do differently to help relieve my dog's stress. He even suggested several books for me to read, which I did. And those books gave me a better understanding of how my dogs function, and things that I should and should not be doing to get the results.I was looking for. The socialization that my dogs get during daycare is priceless,
Left my dog at Dog Daze last Friday ( Jan 2 nd 2026 ) to head out of town for one night Saturday … I headed back home Sunday ( week ago today ) and picked up Obie who was visually in the yard .got there around 4:20 pm but was aware I had to call them and let them know I had arrived and p/u time was 5 pm ..I was greeted by Katie and was told Obie did fine … “was given a bath because he got dirty from it being muddy from rain that Saturday” …. Some man brought him out and placed him in the car … got home … he ran to one of his spots and RUNNING DIARRHEA out of him ! IN THE 9 years of owning him I have NEVER seen this .. when I called back Katie told me he had “ a little “ diarrhea and she gave him a probiotic and he will probably be fine .. why was this NOT BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION WHEN I PI
