The Island Pawplex

My 12½-year-old German Shepherd stays here for extended boarding visits. Lucy has developed arthritis and prefers a quieter pace these days—she doesn’t engage much in playtime with the other dogs. However, she still needs regular walks to maintain strength in her back legs. The staff is wonderful about giving her personal attention, taking her on lead walks, and helping her stay mobile and comfortable. I’ve been bringing my GSD to IPP since it opened in 2020, and the experience has always been excellent. The staff is caring, attentive, and professional, and I always have complete confidence that my dog is in safe, capable hands.

My pup loves this place! I have been taking Logan to Island Pawplex for daycare but, for a variety of reasons, I have always been reluctant to board my dogs but not with Island Pawplex so close to my home. The staff is incredible and truly interested in Logan. The facility is impeccable and well designed. I have also gotten Logan groomed there with wonderful results. He comes home happy, clean and exhausted from playing with all his friends. I highly recommend Island Pawplex for daycare, boarding and grooming! I bet the training is awesome as well!

We desperately needed a place that could cut our anxious, fearful Bluetick Hound mix's overgrown nails. I had been doing them myself, because our only other option according to our vet(s) was to put him under general anesthesia. It was becoming a stressful situation that I worried we would not be able to remediate. Then we found Island Pawplex: not only are they patient, kind, and caring–they are able to cut our boy's nails!! I am so grateful for the Island Pawplex and their staff, and I can't wait to try out their boarding services in April. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

BEST DOG DAYCARE/BOARDING/GROOMING in the area!! When I first moved to the Charleston area (now residing in Huger) a couple years ago, I was having a hard time finding a doggy daycare that I really liked. Some places didn't have any grass/turf to play on, some just seemed like a cold warehouse and others just didn't have a friendly staff like I was used to in Charlotte. I was really excited to hear that a new doggy daycare facility was opening up and scheduled my dogs for their temperament test yesterday. The facility is clean and inviting and the staff could not have been friendlier.
