Desmoiselle Grooming

The intent behind this review is to relay information about a situation that might make you think twice before you bring your dog to Desmoiselle Grooming. My husband and I recently brought our Sheltie puppy to the shop for a groom by Constance. Within a matter of days, the the pup began licking his penile area more often than normal. When he continued to lick and the area got redder, I took him in for a vet appointment. The vet thought he had a localized infection for which he was given Amoxicillin and was placed in a cone (to keep him from further licking). The next day, we noticed what looked to be pus. Before calling urgent care and being told to get advice from an online veterinary service, I called the groomer to inform her of the situation in hopes that she might take responsibilit

We can’t say enough good things about our groomer. She is kind, patient, and genuinely caring, and it shows in the way she works with our dogs. She handles them with a calm, gentle approach that puts everyone at ease. We especially appreciate her knowledge and thoughtful use of natural, high-quality products, always prioritizing our dogs’ comfort and well-being. We’re very grateful for the care she provides and are happy to have found her.

We’ve been coming here since we’ve moved to this area! ( and A LOT OF RESEARCH ABOUT LOCAL GROOMERS)! She’s great!!!!! We, my self and Mickey-LOVE HER! She’s so good to him and he’s a nervous little guy… and a Shih Tzu… we left the southern tier and moved up here and we are soo greatful we found her and she does a great job every time! And they talk!! I’ve also seen big dogs come in and they are return customers by how they know her when they get here and so on! So in my opinion (20+ years of loving my dogs) she’s great- Don’t think about it-JUST BOOK WITH HER!!! You won’t be sorry! ( you can even sit and wait if u want) -Shannon

My two little puppy farm Bichons, Rose and Blanche, have been groomed by Constance since spring of 2022. She does a great job with them, and is very sensitive to the fact that Blanche is super dependent on her sister. I actually have to make an appointment for them. Constance has been very flexible with scheduling, which is appreciated. When I was hospitalized Constance worked with my daughters to get them in for their appointments. Knowing she genuinely likes my dogs means so much.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon Constance!! I've been going to her for over a year now and she's the only groomer I trust with my border collie. He despises getting groomed so he is NOT an easy dog to groom. Constance is very patient with him and accommodating with his struggles. I so appreciate her philosophy & thoughtfulness. A few times I arrived to pick him up and she was calming him down with head pets, his favorite. Love the seasonal dog kerchiefs or bows she puts on him every time. So grateful for her services. Highly recommend!!
