Great vet for routine care. I’ve taken our dogs here for shots and medicine. When my dog was getting older - this is when I noticed a change. Fastest $1200 I’ve ever spent in 20 mins. Lab work and X-rays to be told bladder stones on a 14 year old dog and surgery was recommended. Went to a different vet who told me no bladder stones in the urethra and the urinary issues were probably not related to the bladder stones. The new vet had WAY better bedside manners and told me that my dog was like a 90 year old and gave me options. Spent 45 mins with another vet and was 1/2 the cost of this place. I walked in to DRAH, saw the vet for less than 1 min, described the symptoms before she walked out, a vet tech came into the room- discussed pricing and when I disputed a charge because we weren’t sur

I just moved to the area and needed to get my dog updated on his vaccines. Decided to come to Del Ray for their prices and got an exam and my vaccines done. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Dr. Erin was knowledgeable and great with my dog! The vet assistant I believe her name was Helen, was also very friendly and knowledgeable. They had me in and out within 15 minutes, great experience.

We have been going to the Del Ray Animal Hospital for almost 20 years. We have seen lots of providers here and everyone has always been excellent. We always board our dogs here because we know they are getting exceptional care. Most recently, our elder dog was in the middle of boarding and Keeffe, one of the vet techs noticed our dog elderly dog had a tooth abscess. The wonderful vet, Dr. Watson called us on vacation and let us know, we ended up needing dental surgery and everything was handled wonderfully and efficiently. We are so thankful to this practice and know our furry family members are being cared for very well. Highly recommended.

We love Mount Vernon Animal Hospital so much! They always take care of Marina as if she’s their own cat . They are always on top of her shots and annual checkups . Erica and Kelly are an amazing concierge team with beautiful smiles and enthusiasm! Keefe is very gentle with Marina especially when she doesn’t like having her nails trimmed! This office is always clean and friendly !

My cat had FIV and FELV and her vet was Dr. Watson. She did not get the correct testing (which I paid for) until I told them what test to get. She was sent to the ER by another vet at Del Ray who could have easily treated her (pneumonia). Even the ER vet was confused why she had been sent there when Del Ray had X-ray. She had major dental work which resulted in a negative side effect - which they did take care of without charging me. At the end, she had developed neurological ataxia (difficulty walking x 8 months) and finally Dr. Watson referred us to neurology. When I called and asked to speak with Dr. Watson -twice - she never returned my calls. My cat passed (I used an at home euthsania vet service that was wonderful).
