Jess and the rest of the Daredevil team did wonderful with Ghost during his board and train. We got daily updates on social media and frequent detailed email updates as well. He also got a mini spa before he came home. All interaction with other dogs was in a monitored and controlled environment, and he has been much more independent and confident at home since the program. Greyhounds are known to be sensitive and have their quirks but the experience is so tailored towards each individual dog that we didn't have to worry at all.
Alyssa had my dog (Ben) for a board and train whilst I had to undergo a medical procedure. His stay with her was quite long at 3 weeks. Although quite well trained from a conventional perspective, Ben is a high drive and highly strung (some would call "difficult") 90 lb working line German Shepherd involved in dog sports. Alyssa brought out the best of him during his stay and I got back a healthy, happy and calmer dog in the house. She has special qualities as a dog trainer: very calm herself, precise and with an amazing repertoire of training skills - quite honestly the best dog trainer I have come across, and I have met and worked with many! Perhaps as importantly, Alyssa is extremely attentive to detail and takes the time to understand the dog's particular needs, especially when board
I’m leaving this review to encourage anyone who’s considering Alyssa and Dare Devil for their pup… DO IT!!!! We have a 1.5 year old small/medium dog who needed help with leash walking and decompression in the house. Our dog did the 12 day board and train program with Alyssa and it is the best money we have ever spent. He walks fabulously now and we’ve walked longer and farther than we were ever able to before - I never thought I’d say this but we really ENJOY walking him now. He also now makes great choices in the house independently, choosing a chew toy himself rather than nipping at our house guests to get them to play (like he used to). He also learned a place command and is doing great with it! AND when Alyssa came for our follow up session 1 week later - I’ve never seen him so excite
Alyssa was fantastic. She gave me a free consultation to learn about me and my dog and what our situation was. Afterwards she paired me with an available trainer to work with us in private lessons on the specific issues we were having. Sami is still my trainer, and she is wonderful. So knowledgeable and thorough. After a each session, she provides a very thorough lesson plan based on that day's topics and our goals, with detailed instructions and recommendations regarding schedule changes, exercises and games we can do, equipment/tools we may want to get, etc. The program is worth every penny, my border collie Ripley is so much more well behaved, and she is finally mastering how to relax in the house and turn off that motor with that endless border collie energy lol. 😆🐶
If you just got a puppy, this is the place to take them to! I did so much research on the best-rated schools in town and so glad I decided to go with DareDevil for Khloe’s puppy program. If you live in Philly and want a well-socialized city dog, look no further. I was stressed and facing puppy blues when I got my 11 week old dog as she had zoomies constantly, tested our boundaries, kept trying to chew things up, barked all the time and at everything, and was scared about her crate door closing. I literally couldn’t sleep till midnight, leave her home alone, take her anywhere in an uber or sit outside without her overstimulated/barking. Alyssa did a free intro zoom call to discuss my training goals and also provide training skills to start with Khloe without pressuring me to bring my puppy
