Cripple Creek Retrievers

Worked with JC and his crew a couple of years back now. My dog Baylee went through the obedience training to the retriever training portions! She has been excellent to have from the duck hunt we do to the present hunting in Kansas! Just recently got a new puppy and can’t wait to get her started!

Cripple Creek Retrievers, JC and Samantha especially took a 4 month old puppy and turned him into a solid started steady retriever. Jax is steady to shot, retrieves to hand, and can run single difficult marks with ease. They were extremely responsive to my questions, encouraged my involvement in his training at a much higher frequency than most trainers, and delivered back a well disciplined excellent friend. I can’t speak highly enough of their professionalism and I’m excited to get him back there after the season to see how far he can go. If you’re looking for a high quality training facility in the North Texas area I would suggest you give them a shot. They provided an incredible value.

Our retriever, Lettie, just graduated from gun dog school at Cripple Creek Retrievers! This was very hard for me, as my best friend trained my last dog at RW Training Kennels and owned the sire to her. Unfortunately, Georgeanne Wimberly, was taken too soon by breast cancer. When she was unable to continue her gun dog program due to her health, she started referring to Cripple Creek. So when it was time for Lettie to go, I knew this was the place and she was right. JC and his team are top notch. Clean and well oiled machine! Lettie was well cared for and received excellent training! They are prompt with communication and updates and very fairly priced. Our girl fell in love with her trainer, Sam, who affectionately called her “Lettie Spaghetti”….that nickname will continue on! It’s so hard

Absolutely amazing facility. The owner, JC and his crew are top notch professionals. The dogs are extremely well trained and cared for. If you are interested in boarding your dog for obedience or hunting I highly recommend seeking them out.

We used JC for obedience training for our English Mastiff. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and worked really well with our pup. We went a couple times to work with them and our dog (we needed trained as well) and it has paid off. Definitely the only obedience training we'll send our future dogs to.
