Countryside Veterinary Clinic

We brought our cat, Katy, in for the second time in a year last night. They are a pretty busy vet clinic. We ended up waiting maybe an hour and a half before being seen. However, there's a reason they're frequently busy. The people are so nice and caring. The doctor we saw was friendly, explained everything to us very plainly, and offered multiple options for our kitty. The highlight of our visit was the vet tech Sidney who was helping us. My fiance and I were very worried about our cat and had several questions. Sidney was extremely patient with us, walked us through different options, and gave us hands on instruction for caring for our girl when we got home. Recently we switched veterinarians, so this was our first experience here. Overall i found them to be very professionally ran, clean, knowledgeable, and average priced. This visit was an urgent care for my aging German Shepard (9yM) who ended up needing a surgical tooth extraction a few days later. Pricing was what I expected, about $900 in all. They even called the next day to check on him! They found elevated liver enzymes which we will recheck after 2 months of vitamin therapy. I'm very thankful for this seemingly early notice of something going on with him. I will say, their two receptionists are often overwhelmed, and I believe this to be the reason I found them unpleasant. 2nd time visiting the office and great experience both times. I feel from interactions with entire staff and individual attention given to my dog that they care for her. So being new to area I feel good to have found this place and plan to keep visiting.

Took my dog there back in August, after two visits, 900 dollars for a blood test and a bottle of prednisone they still wouldn't tell us what's wrong. Switched vets and found out that he had cancer and had to put him down yesterday. Countryside only saw my dog for 5 minuets each time and told us nothing. Will NEVER go there again. They should have caught this months ago but because of their laziness or lack of care we have lost a perfect dog and a irreplaceable part of our family.

I have been taking my dog RJ here since he was maybe 6 months old (he is 13yrs), b4 that he went to another place in town that closed at 5pm and it was 450pm and they wouldn’t be able to see him, but it was an emergency so I took him to Countryside Vet. I feel like Countryside is probably the most expensive in town, but idc BC they really do care about your animals. They go above and beyond and never make you feel like you are taking up too much of their time! I highly recommend them!
