Commerce Village Veterinary Hospital

We’ve been going to see Dr. Putt for years since my dog Archie was a baby! We will continue to go and see them for the rest of his life. We love Dr. putt and we absolutely love, commerce village at five stars across the board.

I brought my Aussie in for a routine physical and vaccinations, and I was deeply disappointed by the experience. When the veterinarian entered our room, my dog was startled by the door and barked, a completely normal reaction for an energetic, alert breed, but instead of using calm, professional techniques to ease his anxiety, she retreated to the corner. She then insisted on putting a muzzle on him, which he has never needed with any previous vets or groomers. When I suggested she try getting down to his level, speaking calmly, and giving him space to adjust (basic techniques for handling an apprehensive animal) she responded with a blank stare and justified her behavior by saying she needed to protect her staff. In March of 2024, our dog Huckleberry was diagnosed with IVDD and had to have emergency surgery. At the time of surgery, he was fully paralyzed in his back legs. Post surgery, we met with the rehab department at Commerce Village and started weekly rehab sessions along with acupuncture. With the support of the rehab team and veterinary staff, Huckleberry excelled, regaining the ability to walk. At 14, we knew our time with him was so precious, and we were thankful for every bit of progress we made. In March of this year, unfortunately we started to see regression (a new disc protrusion) and we opted to manage medically due to his age. My dog couldn't walk due to a spinal injury. With the wonderful therapy of this facility, my boy is back up and getting stronger with every therapy session! Ashley is a breath of fresh air and has proven to me she knows her stuff! My boy ( Enzo ) gets excited now for Saturday and Wednesday sessions. I couldn't possibly recommend this facility enough. They are all wonderful!
