Dr. Rufus has lovingly cared for my cats for many years, with expertise and compassion, helping them to lead long, healthy lives. Unlike some other vet offices where you get a voicemail message and need to wait and hope for a call back, it is easy to make appointments at CAH and talk with a live person, Bob, who knows the names and personalities of all the companion animals that visit. It’s a warm, welcoming environment. Importantly, the medical care for my BFF, best furry friend, is outstanding. Dr. Rufus has earned my trust because of his vast experience, knowledge and genuine caring. I highly recommend Colonial Animal Hospital.
Dr. Rufus and Bob are excellent not only at what they do but also the way they handle your pet and speak to you. Dr. Rufus performs procedures for shelters like PALS at a reduced fee. I have been using Dr. Rufus for over 35 years. He is very thorough and they have great hours, if you contact the office during nonworking hours, they will get back to you. This demonstrates a very dedicated that service. I extremely recommend Colonial animal veterinarian hospital. Also the pricing of their services are very reasonable.
Bob and Dr. Rufus are the best. Very compassionate and understanding about our situation, and our final goodbyes to a good and faithful servant, Josie.
When the vet had been using for over 25 years closed, we were very sad and very worried about finding a vet we could trust as much. We asked around and read some reviews and eventually, the strongest recommendation came to us from our groomer who had used Dr. Rufus for many years. She spoke so highly of him and of Bob, that we called right away and were thrilled they could take us. They graciously agreed to a “Meet and Greet” visit since I did not want to wait until our mini cockapoo had a problem to meet for the first time. Skilled, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable – when we walked in for the first time, we knew we were in the right place. Dr. Rufus and Bob take their time with the patient – no rushing, carefully carrying out a thorough exam. We have been going for over a year now an
Today was a great experience meeting Bob and doctor Rufus. Bob was so kind to my calico, and the vet was confident in his approach to treating her and I felt confident in his diagnosis. I've always had a very kind easy going cat, but I think this office just really brought out the best in her. Loved the prompt available scheduling Bob was able to accommodate. They're just really loving and knowledgeable people here.
