My dog wouldn’t be the well behaved girl she is today without Mandy and the crew at City of Tails. At about 12 weeks she was lunging at children, other dogs, and even us when I realized I needed help with her severe behavior. After a lot of careful consideration I found City of Tails to enroll her in two times a week and let them know of all the struggles I’ve noticed. I never imagined just how knowledgeable and kind they would be. My once terrified and reactive puppy is now an incredibly well rounded dog. She will always struggle with a genetic anxiety but Mandy’s program and guidance have taught her and I many soothing strategies that most day to day individuals would never know she’s an anxious dog. She’s complemented endlessly on her behavior in public and she’s a joy to have in the ho

We can't say enough good things about Mandy and the work she does. Our puppy is growing into such a well-behaved dog and we couldn't have done it without her help. Not only does she seemingly know everything about dogs, but she's also just an incredible person who clearly loves what she does. If you want your puppy to turn into a good dog, bring them to Mandy ASAP!

Our puppy started at 16 weeks old with City tails and just graduated at 6.5 months old. City Tails team worked so hard to give him the social skills with other dogs and master basic puppy manners. He grew from being afraid of dogs to playing happily with other puppies of all sizes. Each session was small enough to get individual training and puppy play time. Jordon is especially good with listening about areas our puppy needed training on. Her patience was amazing! I highly recommend Mandy’s City of Tails for anyone looking for more than just day care or a quick 4 week one hour session of puppy training. Thank you all so much for your help in making our puppy a happy socialized well behaved puppy!

Mandy is the most knowledgeable behaviorist I have met. She uses her background as a Veterinarian Technician, and vast experience working with dogs to assess holistic health and determine causes for a dog's behavior. Her training is thorough, she ensures owner's understanding of all presented material, and she keeps training fun and entertaining for dog and owner!

Mandy and her team were incredible for my American Eskimo puppy, Koda. Koda started attending It Takes a Village Puppy Academy at 9 weeks old up until ~1 year of age. As a northern breed, Koda definitely has a unique personality compared to most dogs, and Mandy was able to individualize his training to work with him while also meeting our goals. Through her posted videos, Mandy also broke down his training step by step, so that I could follow along at home and further reinforce everything he had learned. Every day that my puppy "went to school" was his favorite day - and I'm pretty sure he loves Mandy and her team just as much as he loves me, his own mother! If you are looking for a program that includes all the things (training, socialization, playtime) this is the place to go. It really
