City of Hopewell Animal Shelter

My husband and I want to give a shout to Amanda and Morgan. Amanda spent time educating us on why a dog has been on the run for several. He is the most notorious escape artist you will ever seen. But we are grateful for amanda and Morgan trying to catch this dog.

Wonderful and friendly staff. They went above and beyond to help me find the perfect little best friend. They really care about the animals at this shelter and it shows. I highly recommend visiting them if you are looking for a new furever friend.

We have had a stray that was taken in due to cold weather and foxes in and on our property. We called the shelter to have him rehomed in October. They said they were full but would get back to us when a spot opened up. Since then we got the kitten fixed and all of his shots done so he was ready for a new home and healthy. I have called once and sometimes twice a week to get him a spot and every single time they have a different excuse as to why they can't take him. This last time they suggested taking him to a vet to be put down. Everyone at this business should feel ashamed of themselves. Do not donate here do not even attempt to save a cat using their facility because they do not care about you or your animals.

I found six little kitties this morning under my car. I called Hopewell City Police and they told animal control. The animal control officer responded immediately and took the kittens. She was very professional and so kind to the little nuggets. Great job by Hopewell Animal Control!

I keep trying to call, I have a stray dog outside my apartment complex, he looks like he is starving to death, im sitting outside with him trying to figure something out.. I keep trying to call and the call hangs up on me every time I call... is this the right number?
