City of Austin Animal Shelter

My dogs were quarantined illegally by the sheriff’s department when they already had their shots. I was contacted after 9 days via email stating that my dogs ‘were not doing well’. I found my 10 year old female covered in blood and feces, unable to walk, without control of her bowels, malnourished, dehydrated, weeping sores all over her legs and the Community Service Officer belligerently refusing accountability. I have filed complaints with the ASPCA as have my local vet and the Emergency Hospital I took my dogs to immediately upon return to my care. Weeks later my female still has open sores and difficulty walking, unable to climb into bed. Do not entrust this facility with your animals. I intend to seek restitution and to have it closed down.
