Chico Pet Vet

All the staff at Chico Pet Vet were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Due to all the various uses, brands and pricing on pet meds figuring out what meds to use can be very overwhelming. The staff took time to help me sort out what brand of medication would work the best for our situation and offered various options. I very much appreciated their patience with me and my anxious pet. The service here was very good so I would absolutely recommend Chico Pet Vet.

My dog Danno and I think Pet Vet is great! One thing I appreciated was how they told you the cost of each thing before they added it on, instead of acting like you could afford whatever they charged you. Doctor Lewis was very nice and calm with my nervous dog and she was easy to talk to. They had the injections and even a blood draw done without my dog even noticing. All of the assistants and staff were cheerful and friendly. The front waiting area is pretty spacious and has a nice selection of quality, bargain-priced treats, toys, leashes, etc.

My 8 year-old black lab was dying from Pyometra and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I was devastated… I couldn’t afford the $4,000-$5,000 the local vets wanted to remove her infected uterus/ovaries and the non-profit Vets were completely booked up. My best friend and companion was suffering and I couldn’t stand to see her in pain anymore. It was time to find a vet and have her euthanized. I was heartbroken. That’s when I got the call from PAWS in Oroville telling me to get myself to CHICO PET VET because they agreed to see Shadow. A two hour drive but I didn’t care…. Chico Pet Vet knew that, because of Shadows age weight and the severity of her infection, there was very little chance of survival but they were willing to try and save her. This vet is so caring, patient, and understanding. I have never been to a better veterinary! Dr. Lewis is AMAZING! She listens, responds, and genuinely cares about her patients. She gets on the ground with the pet and listens attentively to the reason for the visit. I absolutely recommend this vet to ANYONE who has a pet! Seriously!!

Dr. Diane Lewis is about the kindness loving vet your going to find. She not only cares about her patients but also considers their families. She helped our family navigate the passing of our 14 year old cat and gave us the best outcome we could have hoped for! Stellar job!
