We adopted our dog here a few months ago and it was a great experience. Application was simple and we were able to take our Lyla home the same day. The adoption fees were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely consider adopting from here in the future

I had an amazing time volunteering at Chicago Canine Rescue! As someone who loves dogs, this was the perfect opportunity to give back. The volunteer process was super easy—I could choose what tasks I wanted to do and when. Whether it was walking the pups, helping out at the shelter, or just playing with them, there was always something fun to do. The shelter facility was so clean and well-organized, and the dogs were so well-cared for! Their teeth were whiter than mine, no joke! LOL The staff is incredibly friendly and supportive, and the dogs are so sweet. I highly recommend volunteering here , If you're looking for a fulfilling volunteer experience, I highly recommend checking out CCR

I adopted a sweet puppy from Chicago Canine Rescue (CCR) in early 2010. They were incredibly helpful and also cared about ensuring Gracie was a good fit for my family and physical environment. She was recovering from pneumonia and CCR (Rachel worked with us) was cautious about the meeting and made sure she was well enough before we visited her for the first time. After the adoption, they checked in after a few weeks and showed genuine interest and support in Gracie and us. They were invested in the match with our family. Our sweet old girl turns 15 in two weeks and we could not be more grateful to Chicago Canine Rescue. We absolutely support this organization and the wonderful work they do!

We cannot thank CCR enough for bringing our Bailey (formally known as Kitty) into our lives! Out of all the rescues we reached out to in Chicago, CCR was by far the most communicative, had the easiest process to getting to meet the pups, and seemed to understand our needs and what we were looking for best. Within a day of filling out the application, their adoption coordinator, Amber, reached out to us to schedule a time to do a meet-and-great and recommended that Bailey would be a great fit for us and our lifestyle. We met Bailey and several other dogs and a couple days later brought Bailey to her forever home. The process was straightforward and supportive, especially as first time dog-owners. My spouse and I (and our dog Bodhi) just adopted this sweet nugget - Lenny the Girl Dog - from Chicago Canine Rescue. We were only planning on fostering her, but she wormed our way into our hearts quickly. Amber, the foster/adoption manager we worked with, was fantastic. She picked out a dog for us that was able to integrate into our lives perfectly. She was more than happy to answer all our questions about the process and we felt supported from beginning to end. The whole experience was smooth and easy and we couldn't have asked for better.
