Chenango Animal Hospital

We were traveling, so we were not able to take our 14-year-old dog to our local veterinarian. Woke up in the morning and the symptoms that we were seeing with her let us to believe that we were close to the end of days with her. Absolutely heartbroken and not knowing what to do. We started calling around to find a vet to see if we could get her checked in case it was something that may have been treatable. When we contacted Chenango animal Hospital, even though it was half an hour ride, they told us to bring her in and within half an hour we were on the road with her and took her to be seen. There aren't many places around, that will take you in a moments notice and especially the answer that we were getting from other vets at the time was "we are no longer accepting new patients". They were quick to see my cat on short notice (same day) due to a medical emergency, and the entire staff was kind and accommodating for both myself and my cat. The lobby is also spacious enough for us to wait away from other animals, which I am very thankful for.

Never helpful, never accommodating: you have an emergency forget about it. They’ll tell you they can get you in a week from now. Even if you’ve been an established patient for years. They are more expensive than vets in the area. They are money hungry and have showed this in MULTIPLE instances. Vets have absolutely no bedside manner. Sad across the board, the only good thing about this place is quite frankly, the receptionists. That’s IT. Go anywhere else.

My 16# rescue was difficult to manage when I first started here. Few years later he is much better. The technicians Danielle and Jen and others are wonderful with him. Lisa at the desk is also wonderful. My new vet, Dr Walley is kind and patient and was able to do exam which was not the case our first visit. It has been an overall positive experience

I adopted a dog from the shelter and came to see Dr. Gaylord. She has been exceptional with the care of my dog. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I will continue to bring my dog to see Dr. Gaylord!
