I went to the SPCA fully prepared to be responsible. Mature. Rational. Emotionally regulated. I was 100% going there to convince myself that getting another cat was a terrible idea. The audacity. Instead, they sent me home with the most mischievous, affectionate, chaotic little gremlin I’ve ever met. Meet Crash (previously named folder)— named because, yes, his brakes are fictional. He walked into my house and immediately started love-bombing every animal like a tiny furry cult leader. He knocks my drinks off the counter for sport, then flops on top of me like, “Anyway, I’m baby.” Pure menace. Pure sweetness. Zero remorse. I want to regret this decision on principle. But unfortunately, he is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen and I am weak. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on kitten selection ⭐️☆☆☆☆ on talkin

Staff are wonderful and helpful. Animals are clearly well taken care of. They provide great resources and information when you adopt or are looking to adopt. My adoption process was super easy. I think it’s great that the SPCA allows for sponsored animals (waves the adoption fee) which really helped me be able to adopt my new best friend and get her all the stuff she needed to live a happy healthy life. I was able to adopt an adult cat (mama midnight, now named clove) after she’d been there for 4 months, now she’s has all the toys, a cat tree and treats. Thank you spca!

People that work and volunteer there are super friendly, and so are the pets. We loved our time and are so happy that a lot of these pets are finding homes. Also noticed that people who rescue animals come back and check on them, spend time with them. Adopt yours give them love, and they will pay it back.

The Charlottesville SPCA is a truly wonderful organization. The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind and clearly care deeply about the animals they’re helping. We had a great time visiting and spending time with the cats—each one was well cared for, and the environment was clean, calm, and welcoming. My girlfriend ended up adopting a sweet cat named Mama Midnight, and it was clear she had been loved and looked after while in their care. You can really tell how much work goes into making sure these animals are healthy and ready for their forever homes. Huge thank you to everyone at the SPCA for the compassion and effort you put into helping animals and the people who adopt them.

We love our kitten that we got from here. She was everything they said she was. They socialized her very well. She is very sweet. Staff did a great job with handling and socializing her ! ♥️❤️
